I saw this picture in instagram:
It's so true. Before i started work, part of me kinda regretted choosing this job because I will not have time for myself, my love ones and all my long hours of sleep will be gone. I will be undergoing hard times from patients. their family members, the risk of getting complained, the risk of getting infected by some disease. And most probably, every healthcare worker would have MRSA in them. Zzzzz
Sometimes, the workload just stresses you out. A 8 hours shift work can just leave you dead tired after that. Even if you are working in the morning, you can't go out after work because you are either staying back to clear the things undone or dead tired to even go out. Afternoon shift, you will be spending the whole afternoon till 10 plus at night before you can leave. Night shift, you will spend the whole day sleeping so you won't feel tired at night when you are going to work.
The worst roster you can ever get is 'PAPA'. It's afternoon, morning, afternoon, morning. There isn't time for you to sleep at all. And the next day during your morning shift, it will be pure tiring..
However, even though the work is demanding, I still feel happy when my patients leave the hospital after they recover, and thanking us for our hard work. It's like 1 out of 10 patients will be thankful for what you have done for them but seeing them walking out of the ward in smiles, it's worth it right?
There are always advantages and disadvantages in a job. Still wondering if I should stick with my current job or to get a job change. But if i change my job now, won't i be wasting time trying to pass my probation period? Is not like I am not confident of passing but still, this job isn't one of my favourite.
Sigh, the dilemmas you face in life.
